Description
The path of Tao is a set of corridors, pits and stairs linking the Temple to the Sewers and Spiders area.
How to get there
- From the Purple Circle of Invocation, travel south by the Way of Tzu. A fake wall to the east leads to a corridor occupied by a group of Antman. Once cleared, look for an altar nearby hiding a key. Use it on the key hole at {2,31,10} to open a pit underneath your feet !
- The platform you land on at {3,31,10} has another pit southwards the party needs to enter.
- At {4,31,11}, there is a single key with a choice of 2 doors, one north, one south. Either door involves the same challenge.
- Quickly clear the path of Black Flame and Water Elementals to reach the stairs down to safer spots.
- If the party chose the northern door, you must navigate south (and vice versa). Either way, the party will reach a platform with an altar and stairs to the east.
- Solve the altar riddle to claim your acquired wisdom.
- To exit the path of Tao, proceed south to a Ra door which can only be opened from this side. A golem awaits inside. Once defeated, you can use the newly available connections.
Interests
- Completing the path via the Purple Circle of Invocation may reward the party with wisdom and a flask.
- The path has shortcuts to linked areas
Connections
- A fake wall behind the Fountain L links the path to the Spiders area.
- Stairs at {6,28,31} climb back to the Path of Tao on the Temple level. There is a destroyable statue on level 3 which hides a passage at {3,29,30} to the south of the Sewers. That area has yet another hidden passage at {3,27,27} that leads to the Black Crypt.
