Conflux/Places/Wine Cellar

Description

• The Wine Cellar is one of the areas directly accessible from the Guilds, and probably one of the first places you explore in the game.
• This place is the south-western part of a larger area, but the way is initially closed.
• The room consists mainly of hallways with alcoves in the walls containing a bottle of SAR Wine each.
  • Look closer, there are exceptions…
  • The wines are of little value, especially for a starting party.

How to get there

Read the wall inscriptions and take the appropriate stairs down from the Guilds.

Interests

• Find the inventory list.
• Find the special bottle.
• Open the way to the rest of the Cellar.
  A wall to the east opens, if you take a special SAR Wine bottle and a coin out of a particular alcove. You will find a reward in the opening.
• Beware of the ring.
  You can climb up at a ring with a rope here, but <rune>MON</rune> poison clouds are cast at you, and you can only go back, if you aren't already dead.
• Find the Iron Key, but use it wisely.
  Don't use it in this room.
• Learn to deal with big and small Rats.

Connections

• From and to the Guilds through the stairs to the north.
• To the main Cellar area through an openable wall to the east.
• To the main Cellar area through a locked door to the south-east. This is the obvious way out, but wastes an Iron Key.
