Compiling

When you have finished your dungeon and you want to pass it on to others or you want to play it with the ability to save you must 'compile' you dungeon. This will save it as a .RTC file.

Instructions

  1. Open the 'config.txt' file found in your Return 2 Chaos folder.
  2. At the bottom of this file type in COMPILE
  3. Use the Tab key to make a space (not the space bar key),
  4. Enter the name of the folder where your dungeon is found (Usually this is Modules within your RTC folder) followed by \
  5. Enter your dungeons file name with the .txt extension.

For example

COMPILE Modules\RTC.txt

Testing

If you want to just test parts of your dungeon, to see if they work, or how they look; you can just run a test. This is quicker to load up and does not save a .RTC file.

Instructions

  1. Open the config.txt file found in your Return 2 Chaos folder.
  2. At the bottom of this file type in TEST
  3. Use the Tab key to make a space (not the space bar key),
  4. Enter the name of the folder where your dungeon is found (Usually this is Modules within your RTC folder) followed by \
  5. Enter your dungeons file name with the .txt extension.

For example

TEST Modules\RTC.txt
