Conflux/Places/Smaug’s Den

Description

The haughty blue-scaled dragon Smaug is found deep in his lair in the Moria.

How to get there

Smaug’s Lair is accessed from a very distinctive crossroad of 4 stairs in the Moria.

Tips

• The entrance wall closes behind the party so it is necessary to assess the threat quickly.
• The room is large enough but has many Black Flames dotted around so be careful not to get cornered.

Interests

• Treasures like coins, jewels and armour pieces can be found in the lair.
• Smaug drops the unique “Dragon Armour” which scores 3 points in the Competition.

Connections

• The entrance can only be reopened with a key once the famous blue Dragon is defeated !
• The south door will first open by stepping right in front of it.
• There is a button that opens and closes it on the wall inside the room it leads to.
• A wall at {15,11,26} can only be opened from within by surviving a fall from a very inhospitable place.
