Conflux/Places/The Archmage Observatory

Description

• The Observatory is the top floor of the Tower of Mampang.
• It is where the Archmage awaits intruders who beat the tower’s many defences.
• The room itself is only made up of 9 squares with a pillar in the middle so it is a rather tight fit for a fight.

How to get there

• Once the party has reached the hidden Tower of Lightning, watch out for invisible pits and eyes that shoot lightning bolts.
• The exit path is not visible to the naked eye but the Archmage is a master of illusions…
• The party needs to climb the next 4 floors by clearing a path to the stairs.
• One floor is inhabited by The Many Headed Hydra

Interests

• The alcoves only contain food and miscellaneous items so can be ignored.
• The pillar can be destroyed to enhance visibility
• There are mirrors of winged beasts begging the party to help: it is worth heeding their advice to gain points in the Competition.

Connections

The only entry and exit is via the stairs at {7,9,25}.
