Description

• Inferno is a dark lava-coloured floor on level 26.
• It is part of Gothmog’s quest as guild leader.
• It is also on the critical path to the Chamber of Oblivion.

How to get there

• The lava walls covering Inferno appear when taking the stairs down at {21,28,2} from Ye Old King Under The Mountain.
• Follow the stairs down 4 levels until reaching a lone pit at the end of a wider corridor covered with bones.
• Descending down the pit is the only way in that drops the party in the top north-east corner of the level.

Interests

The unique wand “Fate of Gothmog” is found in an alcove on this level.

Connections

• Stairs in the south-east at {26,29,30} are the initial entry point to the Chambers of Oblivion.
• Stairs at {26,18,15} are the only way back up to the Ye Old King Under The Mountain.
• Escaping Inferno involves visiting multiple pits that will eventually drop the party back to the wider corridor covered with bones encountered on the way down.
