Description
Xanathar rules from his lair in the south-east of level 16. The room is vast and triggers the party to turn around at every step.
How to get there
- From the Mindflayers’ room, proceed south-east and open the solid key door.
- The next room contains a demon behind a pit and 2 buttons, one of which says “door”.
- Once the demon is dead and the door opened, carry on south until reaching an iron gate.
- Throw an item onto the pad to the east to open the gate.
- The golems in that location need to be released and fought to open the path south.
- A beholder guards the last south corridor that leads to Xanathar.
