Description

  • The dragons’ lair is found in the north west corner of level 13.
  • While there is a path on the edge, the cavern centre is made of fake walls populated by dragons of various sizes.
  • Once the party enters the door, it closes behind you and requires a key found in the cavern to exit.

How to get there

  • Follow the Stairs of Ashes and pass through the Green Nightmare on level 8.
  • Skip the guild leaders’ quest entrances on levels 9, 10, 11 and 12.
  • The cavern is finally reached on level 13.

Interests

  • Red dragons unsurprisingly inhabit this cavern.
  • Black Flame pads generate rives if or when stepped on.
  • A well hidden button on one wall reveals the escape of the guild’s cartographers into the rest of the dungeon.
  • There is a black door which opens with a master key and provides access to up to 3 linked areas.

Connections

  • Behind the black door, the cavern leads to the Tower of Manpang and the Clovkwork Maze.
  • There is another connection between the cavern and the Moria but it must be unlocked from the dwarven city.
