The following is a guide to the use of a Scroll of Teleportation.
Scrolls of Teleportation
Scatteed around Conflux are five scrolls of teleportation.
- Each scroll will teleport the party to a specific place if used with the Anchor spell.
- If the Achor spell is not used, the party will be teleported to Aquatana ( 17{26,5} ).
- Place scroll in hand and cast <Power Rune> (OH).
Understanding Anchors
- Three scrolls in the game detail the Anchor spell:
ANCHOR/CREATES A HOLE/OF SHADOW/IN THE WEFT/OF MAGIC. A COIN/OF ANY METAL/WILL BE/CONSUMED/AS A SUPPORT/FOR THE ANCHOR THE HIGHEST/RESSOURCES/MUST BE/INVERTED/TO SET THE/THRESHOLD.
- The Anchor spell (DES EW DAIN) when cast creates a return point for a Teleport Scroll.
- A metal coin needs to be in either hand and will be lost when the spell is cast.
- The spell must be cast at (MON) power level.
- Using any power level other than (MON) results in spell failure, but the coin is not consumed.
- In order to cast the spell at (MON) level the caster must be an EE Master Wizard.
- The spell "anchors" the return point to a wall, so it must be cast next to one.
- Teleport scrolls move the party to Aquatana and then to the site where the Anchor spell was cast, so it is possible to take damage during transport.
- All sight is lost for a few seconds after teleporting.
Where to Find
- Carried by a Fire Demon at the bottom of the Sudden Death.
- In an amalgum in the Spider's Nest.
- In the treasure of the Ruster in Moria.
- In Xanathar's library.
- In an alcove in the Palace of the Polymorphing Wizard.
