Alchemy Guide
The Alchemical Oven
- Use the oven once before opening each further door of the Wizards' Guild, or lose the extra oven uses.
- You need two potions for each use.
- The potions' strengths and which one you put into the oven first don't matter, but nothing can be produced twice.
- Each of up to 3 possible uses allows to produce one more item from the following table:

Dusts
All dusts are non-toxic, but all drain water levels.
Powders

Grinding
- Some elemental dusts and powders can be produced by using a boulder to "grind" an item into a dust or powder.
- Conserve these items whenever possible (some supplies are limited).
- Selenium and Chromium are the least abundant elements.

The Philosophal Stone
- A Philosophal Stone can be obtained in Show text
- The stone has the power to "Transmute" SAR and Silver coins into GOR coins.
- The stone must be in the action hand and a coin in the other.
- There is a hint scroll "The philosophal stone is an achievement that must be sought on your own."

Magic Alcoves and Transmuting Fountains
- The Recharger will add charges to non-dead weapons and items.
- 1 (SAR) Coin. = 1 charge.
- 1 Silver Coin. = 2 charges.
- 1 (GOR) Coin. = 3 charges.
- The Weapon Replicator will duplicate any one weapon.
- Unique and funereal weapons cannot be exactly replicated.
- Replicated weapons will lack all special properties.
- A Vorple Blade or Skebow are good choices for replication.
