Level 03 - The Sewers[edit]

Refuse, trash and clumsy adventurers all end up in the sewers. While you are fending thieves and looking for a way back up remember: One person's trash is another's treasure. The unique compass "Learning Advisor" says "BUDDING CHAOS" when examined on this level.

Get the map of this place.

Find a way across the river, and get a unique weapon.

Get unique items from monsters.

Learn that many hidden places can only be accessed through pits.

Visit the Grey Hermit, fetch a Vorpal Blade from the Haven of Meditation.

Fetch the Dwarven Treasure from here after solving the pressure plate riddle below.

SEWERS DENIZENSGIGGLER
With arms of blue, a cloud they let fly,
And snatch what you hold or what you let lie.
They may return
to steal again,
So be swift with these sneaky small men.

WATER ELEMENTAL
A harmless puddle, don't you think?
Why not approach and try for a drink?
Yet hold at ready
sword or spell,

TROLLIN
Likes the water,

Seeks to squish you like a grub.

Rooted in stone,
unable to chase,
So easy it seems, this foe you'll outpace.

as they block your way,
In one place you really had better not stay.

CHEWER
It moves along,
this mobile tree,
No lungs to speak of or legs to see.
Yet hold your ears against their shriek,
Then harvest their fruit and sustain the weak.

SHAMBLING MOUNT
Ancient creature,
green and slow,
Little of you does he know.

ANEMONE
Sits and waits till prey comes near,
Then reaches with its tendrils dear.
Once you've torn
its outer skin,
You free the poison held within.

SEWERS RARITIESMORIBUND
An undead spirit that does dwell
Inside a husk, a long-dead shell.
Poison its power, and decay,
Its touch can make you waste away.

LEECH
Slimy, slowly, vilely creeping,
Woe on those whom they find sleeping.
Flesh their food, diseased or whole.
Find food and eat – that is their goal.

CARRION EATER
Like a leech but large, with legs.
Crawls the dungeon, searching for dregs
Of those who’ve fallen, recent or not.
